We've got a lot more than 2 walls now.

 

DAY 13.

It's been a busy past few days. So much wood! 




 

And putting together the roof was a massive job.  






Took a massive crane.  



But the results are pretty amazing!

It's been a while

 We had our first delay in building, which certainly isn't surprising.  Fortunately, we at least knew why - our framer was out of town.  But now they've started!      This was just the first load of wood.  And now the framing has begun!!!  Our builder told us we could anticipate a completed home 7 months from the start of framing - so he's now on the clock.  This is DAY 1.    I wonder how close we will be in mid-December.

Stucco!

 Day 90.  The story of the stucco has been a long one, but I think we're finally going to see some color on it!   It's always reassuring to Roy (and me) to see lots of trucks around the house. Speaking of trucks; one of the workers brought his son today, and he's created his own little world of chaos on our easement. (Notice the white one in the brush).   I like it!

A Retrospective

 Happy New Year!  I expect to end this blog adventure pretty soon.  Once they complete our landscaping, I'll take a few pictures and then say "good bye".  So, before then, here's a fun little retrospective of our home build We have some preliminary drawings from our architect that were drawn up in the Spring of 2023.
