OMG. It's really happening!

Our first clue was a house number sign off the cul-de-sac. Hey, little steps are good! And today, March 7, 2024, the excavation began for real!

We had our first delay in building, which certainly isn't surprising. Fortunately, we at least knew why - our framer was out of town. But now they've started! This was just the first load of wood. And now the framing has begun!!! Our builder told us we could anticipate a completed home 7 months from the start of framing - so he's now on the clock. This is DAY 1. I wonder how close we will be in mid-December.

I took this one to show relative distance to our current home (which you can't really see until you "read more". Blogspot can be so annoying at times). Roy is frequently in the picture. Always overseeing. Always asking questions (LOTS of questions). Nice that this is so convenient.
