Roy and Jane's Home Building Adventure

 I can almost taste it.  Day 195 Finishing touches going in.  Including our kitchen appliances! Notice the floors have been cleaned, as well as the windows. Nice to see outside clearly. In addition, they've poured the concrete for our garage apron and walkway.  There's no color now because it is too cold for the color to take.  We'll have it stained in the spring. You may not find this too exciting, but I'm excited to see our washer and dryer. This project has been Roy's baby. He put up the mounting bracket himself, helped put the TV on it, and then spent half a day with the carpenter putting up these soundboards behind our big screen TV.   Notice our "peninsula" fireplace also. I'll close this post with a nice picture taken from the great room of our front entry way.  With clean floors and windows!   We leave for a week's family Thanksgiving vacation soon.  I wonder what we'll see when we return. HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE! 

 Day 184 I've sort of given up trying to predict when we'll move in.  It will be after Thanksgiving, and that's probably good.  FYI, the buyer we were under contract with has rescinded his offer.  Honestly, a bit more relieved than disappointed.
